Fulfilling Dreams

"Scholarships have and are still helping me fulfill my dreams.... Thank you for these gentle nudges that continue to make a difference!"

Through the generosity of donors such as Dr. Duane and 'Lyn Meyer, students like Suzanne Witt are able to pursue their dream of obtaining a college degree. The Endowed Scholarship Appreciation Dinner is an opportunity for scholarship recipients to meet and thank these special contributors.

Suzanne Witt is a 2007 graduate of Pierce City High School. Her major is Speech Language Pathology.

The Duane G. and ‘Lyn Meyer Scholarship was established by faculty, students and friends in honor of Dr. Duane and Mrs. ‘Lyn Meyer. Dr. Meyer was President of Missouri State (then SMSU) from 1971 to 1983.

To be eligible, at the time of the first award, a recipient must be a freshman who demonstrates outstanding academic performance as indicated by class rank and test scores. The scholarship may be renewed automatically as long as the student maintains satisfactory academic progress until he or she earns a baccalaureate degree.
