Dr. Janice Duncan, Director of Greenwood, at the door of the one room schoolhouse on the celebration of Greenwood’s 100th day of the 100th year. Her hat was a gift from an Ecuadorian exchange student this year and her costume was made by Associate Dean of Library Administration Neosha Mackey, who also made three of the other costumes for the 100th day of the 100th year celebration on February 19.

All the elementary students went to the schoolhouse during the day for a lesson in economics: purchasing their clothes from the Sears catalog pages of 100 years ago for $5. Many of them and their teachers also dressed as though they were living 100 years ago. They churned butter, quilted, danced and played games from the period.
