FAQ

Are these pages safe?  Will my information be protected?
We secure our pages using server encryption.  Only people within our office can view and process the information.  The Missouri State University Foundation respects your privacy.  We do not disclose personal information to others.

What if I don’t want to submit my gift electronically?
You can print your gift form and mail it to us with your check or credit card information.  Make your check payable to the Missouri State University Foundation.

What credit cards can I use?
We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover.

How do I know you received my gift?  What will I have for my records?
An online receipt is generated once you complete your gift.   Simply print it off for your records.  You can also receive an email confirmation.  Within two weeks, you will receive a receipt in the mail along with a thank you acknowledging your gift.

Can I give my gift in memory of or in honor of someone?
Yes.  We will ask you for the name.

Can I give to more than one fund?
Choose as many gift designations as you like.  We will list them for you and add up the total for your payment.

Will my company match my gift?
See our matching gift database to learn if your company has a matching gift program.   Mail your completed forms to the Missouri State University Foundation.

How do I make a gift online?
At our giving home page, Giving to Missouri State University.

First, let us know where your gift should go.

• Click on a college or other area.  You will then be taken to a page that lists departments within that area.
• Click on a department.  You will see a list of funds within that department.
• Enter the amount of your gift in the box next to the funds you wish to contribute to.
• Click the Submit Information button to proceed with this gift or choose View Other Giving Opportunities to continue looking at other funds.

Second, verify your selection.

• Check to see that your gift designation is correct.  If it isn’t or let’s say, you’ve changed your mind, click Remove to delete a gift or Edit to change the amount. To choose another fund, click Make another Donation.
• You'll be able to choose to make your gift in memory of or in honor of someone.  If so, you’ll be directed to enter the name.
• If you would like to designate a gift to more than one fund, choose Make another Donation.  You’ll be directed back to the Giving to Missouri State University page and just repeat the steps above.  Your new gifts will be added to your list.
• Click on Complete Your Gift when you have finished choosing your gift designations.

Third, in order to process your gift, we will ask you some personal information.

• Name, email address, affiliation, home and business address, and phone number.
• If you would like to share recognition with someone, we’ll ask for the name, address, email address and affiliation.
• We’ll then ask for your credit card information:  card holder’s name, card type, number, and expiration date.  We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover, and American Express.
• If you choose to pay by check rather than by credit card, choose the Pay by Mail option.  Your submission process is complete at this point.  A form will be generated for you to print and mail along with your check to the Missouri State University Foundation.

You will also receive by mail a receipt and a thank you acknowledging your gift from us within two weeks.  If you would like to have a  confirmation that we have received your gift, please be sure to include your email address on your form.
